Dijital İletişim ve Halkla İlişkiler Araştırmaları: Uluslararası Literatürde Güncel Yönelimler ve Tartışmalar*

Halkla ilişkiler ile dijital iletişim arasında bağ kuran makalelerin yakın dönemli gelişim seyrinin inceleme konusu edildiği bu çalışmada, halkla ilişkiler uluslararası literatüründeki en etkili üç dergi olarak kabul gören Public Relations Review, Journal of Public Relations ve Public Relations Inquiry dergilerinde 2015 yılından günümüze kadar dijital iletişim ve ilişkili konularında yayınlanmış makaleler, alanın güncel araştırma yönelimlerini belirlemek amacıyla sistematik inceleme yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Konuyla ilgili olarak belirtilen dergilerde 2015-2018 yılları arasında yayımlanmış 158 makale araştırma konusu, araştırma odağı, kuramsal perspektifi ve araştırma yönelimi açısından analiz edilmiş, çalışmanın bulguları benzer konuda yapılmış önceki dönemli çalışmaların bulgularıyla birlikte değerlendirilerek makalelerdeki güncel yönelimler tartışılmıştır.

Digital Communication and Public Relations Research: Current Orientations and Debates in International Literature

In this study, focusing on the recent developments in the articles that relate digital communication and public relations, the articles published on most effective international journals in the field of public relations - Public Relations Review, Public Relations and Public Relations Inquiry- since 2015 have been analyzed by systematic review method to uncover the current research orientations. Total 158 articles, which relate digital communication and public relations, published between 2015-2018 were identified and were analyzed in terms of their research subject, research focus, theoretical perspective and research orientation. The findings of the study were evaluated together with the findings of previous studies on a similar subject and the current trends in the articles were discussed.
