Sosyal Hizmet Perspektifinden Evsizlik: Müdahale ve Uygulama Pratikleri

Evsizlik, hem bireyleri hem de toplumu doğrudan etkileyen bir toplumsal sorundur. Evsizlik, bireylerin kalıcı, güvenli ve uygun bir konuta sahip olmadığı, bu sebeple sürekli bir barınma sıkıntısı içinde olduğu durumu ifade eder. Bu durum, bireyleri sadece fiziksel olarak değil, aynı zamanda psikolojik ve sosyal açıdan da olumsuz etkileyebilmektedir. Evsiz bireyler genellikle sokaklarda, geçici barınaklarda veya elverişsiz alanlarda yaşamlarını sürdürmektedirler. Bu bağlamda çalışma, sosyal hizmet disiplininin evsizlik olgusuna yaklaşımını, evsiz bireylerin ihtiyaçlarını, karşılaştığı sorunları ve bu sorunlara yönelik sosyal hizmetin global ve yerel müdahale yöntemlerini ele almaktadır. Sosyo-ekonomik sorunlar, uygun fiyatlı konutlara erişememe, alışkanlıklar, sosyal dışlanma, psikolojik rahatsızlıklar ve sağlık problemleri, evsiz bireylerin en sık karşılaştığı zorluklardandır. Sosyal hizmet bilimi, bu sorunlara holistik bir yaklaşım sunarak, bireylerin topluma yeniden entegre olmasını amaçlar. Türkiye'de sosyal destek programları, barınma hizmetleri ve rehabilitasyon programları bu alanda dikkat çekerken, dünya genelinde konut öncelikli yaklaşım, sosyal entegrasyon projeleri ve eğitim programları öne çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışma, sosyal hizmetin evsizlik olgusuna müdahalesinin, hem bireyin hem de toplumun refahı için kritik bir öneme sahip olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu doğrultuda evsiz bireylerin toplumsal hayata yeniden entegrasyonunu destekleyen sosyal hizmet yaklaşımlarının önemine vurgu yaparak, bu alandaki yenilikçi ve etkili müdahale tekniklerini aydınlatmaktadır.

Homelessness from a Social Work Perspective: Intervention and Practice Practices

Homelessness is a social problem that directly affects both individuals and society. Homelessness refers to a situation in which individuals do not have a permanent, safe and suitable dwelling and are therefore in a constant housing shortage. This situation can negatively affect individuals not only physically but also psychologically and socially. Homeless individuals usually live on the streets, in temporary shelters or in unfavorable areas. In this context, the study addresses the approach of the social work discipline to the phenomenon of homelessness, the needs of homeless individuals, the problems they face and the global and local intervention methods of social work for these problems. Socio-economic problems, inability to access affordable housing, habits, social exclusion, psychological disorders and health problems are among the most common challenges faced by homeless individuals. Social work science offers a holistic approach to these problems and aims to reintegrate individuals into society. While social support programs, housing services and rehabilitation programs draw attention in Turkey, housing-first approach, social integration projects and education programs are prominent worldwide. This study reveals that the intervention of social work in the phenomenon of homelessness is critical for the welfare of both the individual and society. In this direction, it emphasizes the importance of social work approaches that support the reintegration of homeless individuals into social life and illuminates innovative and effective intervention techniques in this field.
