HOLLANDA'DA YAŞAYAN TÜRKLERDE KİMLİK VE ULUSÖTESİ MEDYA KULLANIMI

II. Dünya Savaşından sonra, Avrupaya kitlesel işçi göçü yaşanmış ve buTürkiyeyi de etkilemiştir. Bu göçler sadece işçi göçü ile değil, aynı zamandaAvrupada bir Türk toplumunun olması ile de sonuçlanmıştır. İki ülke arasındayaşamlarını sürdüren Türkler, anavatanları ile bağlarını çeşitli kanallar yolu iledevam ettirmektedirler. Bu çalışmada Hollandadaki Türklerin ulusötesi medyakullanımı ile Türk ve Hollandalı kimliğini benimseme düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiincelenmektedir. Nicel yöntem kapsamında yapılan çalışmada Hollandadayaşayan 230 Türkten anket yolu ile veri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göreTürklerin Hollanda medyası takip etme oranı, Türkiye medyasını takip etmeoranından daha düşüktür. Türk kimliğini benimseme ile Türk medyasını takipetme arasında ise pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişki vardır.

Identity and Transnational Media Use of Turkish Immigrant Living in the Netherlands

After World War II Europe experienced a massive labor migrationand has been effective in Turkey. This migration is not the only labor migration,this is also led to the formation of the Turkish community in Europe. Turkscontinued their lives between the two countries have survived their ties with theirhomeland through various channels. In this study, we examined the relationshipbetween Turkish identity, Dutch identity and transnational media use of Turkishimmigrant living in the Netherlands. We collected data from 230 Turkishimmigrants living in the Netherlands at this quantitative research. As results ofthis study, the Netherlands media usage rate is lower than the Turkish mediausage rates. There are positive relationship between the Turkish identity and useof Turkish media.
