Bu çalışmada, enflasyonu kontrol altına almak için uygulanan istikrar politikalarının genel özelliklerinin ortaya koyulduktan sonra uygun istikrar politikası seçiminde dikkat edilmesi gereken noktaların ele alınması, temel hedefleme stratejileri olan döviz kuru hedeflemesi, parasal hedefleme ve enflasyon hedeflemesi stratejilerinin avantajlı ve dezavantajlı yönlerinin değerlendirilmesi ve Türkiye’de 2000 yılından itibaren uygulanan istikrar politikaları çerçevesinde en uygun politikanın tartışılması amaçlanmaktadır.

The aim of this paper is to present general features of stabilization policies which are used to control inflation and analyse main points to choose appropriate stabilization policies, then put forward advantages and disadvantages of the main targetting strategies comprising exchange rate targetting, monetary targetting and inflation targetting and discuss the most appropriate policy for Turkey in the light of the stabilization policies which are put into practice from 2000.
