DİJİTAL LİDERLİĞİN KRİZ YÖNETİMİ ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: BİLGİ PAYLAŞIMININ ARACI ROLÜ

Bu çalışmanın amacı, dijital liderliğin kriz yönetimi üzerindeki etkisinde bilgi paylaşımının aracı rolünü ortaya koymaktır. Krizler, örgütlerin faaliyetlerini aksatan ve istenmeyen bozulmalara neden olan durumları ifade etmektedir. Krizlerin başarıyla üstesinden gelebilmek için bu krizleri etkin bir şekilde yönetebilecek liderlere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Liderlerin organizasyon içerisinde teşvik edeceği bilgi paylaşımı, krizlerin sağlıklı bir şekilde atlatılmasında kritik bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu bağlamda krizler üzerinde etkili olan liderlik tarzlarına ek olarak, dijitalleşmeyle birlikte ortaya atılan yeni liderlik kavramlarının kriz yönetiminde nasıl rol oynadığının ortaya konulması organizasyonlar için önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, dijital liderliğin kriz yönetimi üzerindeki etkisinde bilgi paylaşımının aracı rolünü ortaya koymak amacıyla Kocaeli ilinde faaliyet gösteren özel bir güvenlik firmasında çalışan 184 özel güvenlik görevlisi ile bir alan araştırması yapılmış ve anket tekniği ile veriler toplanmıştır. Verileri analiz etmek maksadıyla IBM SPSS 24.0 ve SmartPLS 3.0 paket programlarından yararlanılmıştır. Değişkenler arası aracılık ilişkisini incelemek maksadıyla kısmi en küçük kareler (PLS) yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada dijital liderlik ve bilgi paylaşımı tek boyutta; kriz yönetimi, kriz öncesi yönetim ve kriz sonrası yönetim olmak üzere iki boyutta incelenmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda dijital liderliğin kriz yönetimi üzerinde pozitif yönlü ve anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu ve bilgi paylaşımının bu etkide aracılık rolü oynadığı tespit edilmiştir.

THE EFFECT OF DIGITAL LEADERSHIP ON CRISIS MANAGEMENT: THE MEDIATING EFFECT OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING

The aim of this study is to reveal the mediator role of knowledge sharing in the effect of digital leadership on crisis management. Crises refer to situations that hinder the activities of organizations and cause undesirable deterioration. In order to successfully overcome crises, leaders are needed to manage these crises effectively. Knowledge sharing, which leaders will encourage within the organization, plays a critical role in recovering from crises healtily. In this context, in addition to the leadership styles that are effective on crises, it is important for organizations to reveal how the new leadership concepts introduced with digitalization play a role in crisis management. In this study, in order to demonstrate the mediator role of knowledge sharing in the effect of digital leadership on crises management, a field survey was carried out on 184 private security guards working for a private security company operating in Kocaeli province and data was collected with survey technique. IBM SPSS 24.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 package programs were used to analyze the data. Partial least squares (PLS) approach was used to examine the mediation relationship between variables. In the study, digital leadership and knowledge sharing were examined in single dimension: crisis management was examined in two dimension, pre-crisis management and post-crisis management. As a result of the analysis, it was found that digital leadership has a positive and significant effect on crisis management, and it was determined that knowledge sharing played a mediating role in this effect.
