ELEŞTİREL SÖYLEM ÇÖZÜMLEMESİ: FRANSA’DAKİ SARI YELEKLİLER HAREKETİNE İLİŞKİN HABERLERİN CUMHURİYET VE YENİ ŞAFAK GAZETELERİNDEKİ İDEOLOJİK SUNUMU

Sarı Yelekliler Hareketi, Fransa hükümetinin uygulamış olduğu yeni vergi politikaları sonucunda akaryakıt fiyatlarına yapılan zamma karşılık gerçekleşen bir toplumsal harekettir. Sarı Yelekliler, ilk defa 17 Kasım 2018 tarihinde sokağa çıkmış ve Sarı Yelekliler Hareketi Paris’te yapılan bu gösteri yürüyüşü ile başlamıştır. Gösteriye katılanlar, hükümetin yeni vergi paketinin insanları ekonomik eşitsizliğe sürüklediğini ifade etmişlerdir. Bu çalışma 17 Kasım 2018 tarihinde Fransa’da başlayan Sarı Yelekliler Hareketi’nin Cumhuriyet ve Yeni Şafak gazetelerindeki sunumlarından oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın temel amacı, her iki gazete bakımından “haberlerde makro ve mikro düzeyde nasıl bir ideolojik üretim yapılmıştır?” sorularını yanıtlamaktır. Haberler, Teun Adrian van Dijk’ın eleştirel söylem yaklaşımı çerçevesinde çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmada her iki gazetenin de kendi ideolojik çizgileri doğrultusunda bir ideolojik üretim yaptığı görülmüştür. Cumhuriyet gazetesi genel olarak Sarı Yeleklilerin eylem ve söylemlerine yer vermeye çalışmıştır. Sarı Yelekliler ile hükümet arasında dengeli bir görüş sağlamaya çalışmıştır. Hareketin ilerleyen evrelerinde gazetenin bu tavrı yerini Sarı Yelekliler’den yana bir duruşa bırakmıştır. Yeni Şafak gazetesinin Sarı Yelekliler Hareketini sunarken tercih ettiği haber söylemi genel olarak Emmanuel Macron karşıtlığı üzerinden kurgulanmıştır. Gazete, Sarı Yeleklileri sıklıkla asi ve taşkın bir grup olarak resmetmiştir.

CRITICAL DISCOURSE ANALYSIS: THE PRESENTATION OF THE NEWS ABOUT THE YELLOW VESTS MOVEMENT IN FRANCE IN CUMHURIYET AND YENI SAFAK NEWSPAPERS

The Yellow Vests Movement is a social movement that took place in response to the increase in fuel prices as a result of the new tax policies implemented by the French government. The Yellow Vests took to the streets for the first time on November 17, 2018, and the Yellow Vest Movement started with this demonstration in Paris. Participants in the demonstration stated that the government's new tax package dragged people into economic inequality. This study consists of the presentations of the Yellow Vests Movement, which started in France on 17 November 2018, in the newspapers Cumhuriyet and Yeni Şafak. In terms of both newspapers, the main purpose is to answer the question: “what kind of an ideological production has been made in the news at the macro and micro level?”. The news is analyzed within the framework of Teun Adrian van Dijk's critical discourse approach. In the study, it was determined that both newspapers made an ideological production in line with their own ideological lines. Cumhuriyet newspaper generally tried to include the actions and discourses of the Yellow Vests. They tried to maintain a balanced view between the Yellow Vests and the government. This attitude of the newspaper turned in the direction of the Yellow Vests over time. The news discourse chosen by Yeni Şafak newspaper while presenting the Yellow Vests Movement was generally constructed over the opposition of Emmanuel Macron. The newspaper often portrayed the Yellow Vests as a rebellious and violent group.
