Bir orf olgusu ve ülkemiz literatürüne bakış

Orf, parapox virüsün neden olduğu, enfekte koyun veya keçi gibi hayvanlardan bütünlüğü bozulmuş deri yoluyla insanlara bulaşa- bilen bir zoonozdur. Ektima kontagiozum ya da kontagiyöz püstüler dermatit olarak da bilinir. Hastalık, genellikle ellerde tek veya multipl cilt lezyonları şeklinde ortaya çıkar. Bu yazıda, sağ el işaret parmağı dorsal yüzde, 15 gün önce çıkan yara şikayetiyle başvuran elli altı yaşında bayan hasta sunuldu. Hastanın öyküsünde ağız çevresinde yaraları olan bir kuzu ile teması mevcuttu. Öykü ve klinik muayene ile orf düşünülen hastaya semptomatik tedavi önerildi ve hastalık hakkında bilgilendirildi. On beş gün sonunda kontrole gelen hastanın lezyonu belirgin olarak gerilemişti. Orf enfeksiyonu genellikle tedavi gerektirmeden iyileşmektedir. Bu hastalar yanlış tanı aldığında gereksiz testler, medikal veya cerrahi tedaviler uygulanabilmektedir. Hastalık enfekte hayvanlardan, ürünlerinden veya virüsle enfekte materyallerden bulaştığı için bu hayvanlarla ve/veya ürünleri ile temas halindeki kişilerin bilgilendirilmesi, kişisel koruyucu önlemlerin uygulanması, enfeksiyon kaynağı olabilecek hayvanların tanınması ve aşılanması hastalığın yayılmasını önle- yecektir.

A case of orf and overview to the literature of our country

Orf, caused by parapox virus, is a zoonotic infection that can be transmitted from affected sheep or goat through direct contact or contaminated fomites through skin. Orf, also known as ecthyma contagiosum or contagious pustular dermatitis. The disease usually occurs as skin lesions on the hands. In this case, 56 years old female is presented with complaint of a nodular skin lesion on her right hand index finger. The patient had contact with a lamb, which are wound around its mouth. With clinical examination and history was thought to be orf diagnosis and symptomatic treatment was advised to the patient. In addition, the patient was informed about the illness. After 15 days, the lesion was clearly regressed. The disease is usually healed without treatment. When these patients mis- diagnosed, unnecessary tests, medical or surgical treatment may be applied. Orf spreads to humans by contact with infected animals such as sheep or goats, their products or materials infected with the virus. For this reason, inform the people in contact with these animals and/or their product, the application of personal protective measures, the recognition and vaccination of animals that may be a source of infection, will prevent the spread of the disease.
