Değişen Bir Katılım Mekanizması Olarak Gençliğin Toplumsal Katılımı

Toplumsal katılım yoluyla gençler hem kendilerine hem de içinde yaşadıkları topluma katkı sağlama imkânına kavuşurlar. Gençler toplumsal katılım yoluyla yeni yetenek ve yetkinlikler kazanarak topluma ayak uydururken, toplumda sosyal sermayeye katkı yapan bu gençler sayesinde daha sağlıklı bir yapıya kavuşur. Gençlerin bu doğrultudaki sosyal tercihleri kendilerinin ve ailelerin toplumsal ve ekonomik faaliyetleri çevresinde gelişmektedir. Bu çevrede biçimlenen toplumsal katılım gençleri toplum bilinci kazandırarak, toplumsal gruplar içerisinde girmeye onları cesaretlendirir. Ancak tüketim alışkanlıklarının beraberinde değişen kültürel yapı katılımın bir bütün olarak başkalaşmasına aracılık etmiştir. Yeni koşullar gençlerin toplumsallık algısını değiştirmekte, bireylere yönelik davranış kalıplarını yeniden şekillendirmekte ve en önemlisi alıştığımız anlamdaki toplum olgusunun temel dinamiklerini ayakta tutan katılım mekanizmasına gençlerin dahil olmasının önünde engeller teşkil etmektedir. Bu koşullar altında gençlerin yeniden aktif katılımını sağlanması çözüm aranan en önemli sorunlardan biri haline gelmiştir. Çalışmada bu soruna çözüm getirilebilmesi adına konuya ilişkin literatürün beraberinde gençlerle yapılan görüşmeler ışığında geliştirilmiş bir modele dayalı çözüm önerisinde bulunulmuştur

Through the social participation youth get the chance of contribute the development of themselves and the society. They gain new skills and capabilities and with these skills and capabilities they keep up with the society. On the other hand the society reaches much more healthier structure through their contributions the social capital. Youth’s social preferences about the participation shaped by their families and their social and economic activities. In this environment social participation raises youth’s consciousness about the society and thereby they gain courage for participating in the social groups. But with the changing consumption habits and the cultural structure, social participation has changed completely. New conditions; changing youth’s perception of sociality, reshaping their patterns of personal behaviour and the most importantly the participation mechanism which we used to. As a result of these circumstances reactivity of the youth’s social participation has become one of the key problems. In this paper for we offered an integrated solution model which based on literature and the interviews with the youth
