Malign potansiyeli belirlenemeyen düz kas hücresi tümörü ile beraber olan intravenöz leiomiyomatozis: Olgu sunumu

Benign uterin leiomiyom kadınlarda en sık görülen pelvik tümördür. Nadirenleiomiyom olarak düşünülen kitleler uterin sarkom veya leiomiyom varyantıolabilir. Malignite kriterlerinden bazılarını içeren, ancak hepsini içermeyenkitleler STUMP olarak sınıflandırılır. İntravenöz leiomiyomlar nadir görülen,ancak ölümle sonuçlanabilen benign leiomiyom varyantlarındandır. Bu yazıdaSTUMP nedeniyle total abdominal histerektomi yapılan bir olguda saptananintravenöz leiomiyomatozis vakası sunuldu.

Smooth muscle tumors of uncertaın malignant potential with ıntravenous leiomyomatosis: A case report

Benign uterine leiomyomas are the most common tumor of female genital tract. Uncommonly, tumors that are supposed to be leiomyomas could be uterine sarcoma or a variant of leiomyoma. The tumors that provide only some of the malignity criterias are classified as STUMP (smooth muscle tumors of uncertain malignant potential). Intravenous leiomyomas are rare tumors that may end up with death. In this manuscript a case with intravenous leiomyomatosis is presented. It was diagnosed in the hysterectomy specimen of a patient who underwent total abdominal hysterectomy upon a diagnosis of STUMP following myomectomy.
