Polistiren halkası üzerinde bir bromlama çalışması

Polistirenin aromatik halkası elementel bromla $(Br_2)$ iyot $(I_2)$ halojen taşıyıcısının yanında bromlandı.; Bromlama reaksiyona girmeyen brom, açığa çıkan HBr ve polimerin element analizi ile izlendi. Aromatik halkaya bağlanma IR ve $^1H$ NMR ile karakterize edildi. Halojenlemede % dönüşümün zaman, sıcaklık, Hal/Kat. oranı ve çözücü hacmi/1 g polimer parametrelerine bağlılığı incelendi ve sonuçlar tartışıldı.

A bromination study on the aromatic ring of polystyrene

A series of bromination studies on aromatic ring of polystyrene were done using elemental bromine in the presence of $I_2$ as a catalyst. Bromination was pursued by means of unreacted bromine, evolved HBr and bromine content of brominated PS. Bonding on the aromatic ring of bromine was characterized by IR and $^1H$-NMR. It was investigated by deten mining % conversion in halogenation depended on time, temperature, mole ratio of halogen to catalyst and solvent volume per 1 g polymer, and the results were discussed.
