Egoism and altruism : Interpretations within the scope of aristotelian philosophy

Although there has been a long time since French Philosopher Auguste Comte (1875) displayed the altruism concept, the discussions on the concept have been going on. Altruism, which has been discussed by especially some philosophers, is studied within the scope of Aristotelian Philosophy. The base of these studies is focused on whether egoism and altruism are separated in Ethical Philosophy. In this study, It is aimed to display the meaning which altruism was attributed by Aristotle and the discussions which are connected with the relation of egoism and altruism in Ethical Philosophy.
