Central Giant Cell Granuloma Masquerading a Radicular Cyst: Case Report

Central giant cell granuloma is a benign and reactive intraosseous lesion. It is generally localized in the anterior mandibular region. However, it may be localized in the periradicular region of a vital or non-vital tooth. Periradicular central giant cell granulomas may be misdiagnosed as periapical inflammatory dental lesions such as radicular cysts or cronic apical paradontitis on radiographic or clinical examination. In this case report, a periradicular central giant cell granuloma which is localized in the right maxillary premolar region is presented and the importance of differential diagnosis is discussed
