Streptozotosin ile Diyabet Oluşturulan Ratlarda Koenzim Q10’un Lipit Profil Üzerine Etkileri
Amaç: Çalışma deneysel diyabet oluşturulan ratlarda Koenzim Q10’un lipit profili üzerine etkilerini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem:. Çalışmada 38 yetişkin erkek Wistar Albino rat beş gruba ayrıldı. Grup I’deki hayvanlara herhangi bir uygulama yapılmadı.
Effects of Coenzyme Q10 on Lipid Profile in Streptozotocin Induced Diabetic Rats
Aim: This research was carried out to evaluate the effects onlipid profile of Coenzyme Q10 in streptozotocin induced diabeticrats.Materials and Methods: In the study, 38 adult male WistarAbino rats were divided into five groups. Group I animalswas no applied. Group II animals was intraperitoneally administered0.3 ml corn oil daily and group III animals wasintraperitoneally administered 10 mg/kg CoQ10 in 0.3 mlcorn oil daily for four weeks. In group IV animals, diabeteswas induced by subcutaneous injections of 40 mg/kg streptozotocinfor two days as a single dose per day. In group Vanimals, diabetes was induced by same protocol applied togroup IV and then these animals were intraperitoneally administered10 mg/kg CoQ10 in 0.3 ml corn oil for four weeks. It was determined plasma triglyceride, total cholesterol, LDL,HDL, insulin and glucose levels in all groups. In liver sections, the staining intensity of hepatocytes containing lipid dropletswere evaluated. Results: Experimentally diabetes increased triglyceride, cholesterol and LDL levels, while these parameters decreasedwith CoQ10 treatment to diabetic rats when comparedto diabetic group (P
