Sanat, toplumun vazgeçilmez bir parçasıdır. Her toplum kendi sanat anlayışını ortaya koyar ve sanat elbette ki toplumun tüm unsurları gibi sosyal değişime paralel olarak farklılık gösterir. Toplumu derinden etkileyen her olay sanatçıyı dolayısıyla eserini etkileyecektir. Topluma yön veren unsurlar sanatın yönünü de belirlemiştir. Sanat tarihi incelendiğinde bu apaçık görülecektir. Bu anlamda sanatın politikayla yakın bir ilişki içinde olduğunu ifade etmek yanlış olmaz. İnsan yaşamına yön veren onu ayakta tutan değerlerin başında şüphesiz birçok felsefi tartışmaya da sebep olmuş "özgürlük" kavramı gelecektir. İşte bu makalede bu kavramın Delacroix tarafından ele alınışı ve dönemin koşullarının bu eserin yapımında ki etkisi ve günümüzde alıntı yöntemi kullanılarak tekrar yaratılmasının nedenleri irdelenecektir. Toplumsal değişimin ve politik dönüşümlerin yarattığı handikaplarla beraber bu yapıtın anlatılmak istenenlere daha uzun dönem tercüman olacağı düşünülmektedir. Vazgeçilmez değerlerin, vazgeçilmez değerlere sahip olan eserlerin yeniden yorumlanarak tekrar tekrar dönemi aydınlattığını gösterme çabası bu makalenin yazılış amacını oluşturmaktadır

Art is an essential part of society. Each community sets out its understanding of art and art of course varies in parallel with the social changes, like all elements of society. Each event deeply affects and artist so does his/her work. Elements shaping the society also determines the direction of art. This will be evident if art history is researched. In this sense, to express that art has a close relationship with of politics would not be wrong. Of all the values that direct and sustain human, there is no doubt that "freedom" concept is the most important which has caused many philosophical discussions. Here in this study, this concepts as discussed by Delacroix, the impact of terms of that period on creating this work of art, and the reasons for its re-creation today by using Quote methods. It is thought that this work of art, together with the handicaps posed by social changes and political transformations, will be an interpreter for the point desired to be uttered.
