Development, functions and histochemical properties of T lymphocytes

T lymphocytes (T cells) are differentiated from embrional pluripotent stem cells in bone marrow in that they migrate to the thymic cortex where they become immunocompetent similar to TCR and CD in expressing their specific cell membranes. These molecules permit them to perform their immunological functions. Immunocompetent T lymphocytes that have been activated by interaction with an antigen also transform into lymphoblasts that proliferative and differantiate into cytotoxic, helper, suppressor and memory which is subsets of T lymphocytes. In this review, some information was given about development, functions and histochemical properties of T lymphocytes.
