7’s Kuramının Büyük Ölçekli İşletmelerde Stratejik Planlama Ve Ekonomik Performansı Değerleme Aracı Olarak Kullanılması

7’S Kuramı 1980’li yıllarda Mc Kinsey Danışmanlık Şirketi danışmanları tarafından, büyük ölçekli işletmelerin içsel faktörlerinin analiz edilmesi, verimli çalışan bir organizasyonel yapılanmanın sağlanması, etkin bir yönetim ve iletişim yapısı oluşturulması ve işletme faaliyetleri sonucunda performans değerlendirmesi yapılabilmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiştir. 7’S Kuramının oluşumu ve gelişimi uzun bir zaman almış, işletmelerin performansının arttırılmasında bir model önerisi olarak sunulması ise alan inceleme ve alanda ölçüm çalışmaları sonucunda ortaya çıkmıştır. 7’S Kuramı, İngilizce ‘de S harfi ile başlayan 7 tane fonksiyonel element üzerine kurgulanmıştır. 7’S Kuramın Elementleri; Yapı (Structure), Strateji (Strategy), Sistem (Systems), Paylaşılan Değerler (Shared Values), Beceri (Skills), Stil (Style) ve Personel (Staff) olarak belirlenmiştir. 7’S Kuramı, bu yedi fonksiyonel element yardımı ile işletmenin içyapısında bulunan ekonomik ve kültürel değerleri de kullanarak işletmenin organizasyonel etkinliğini artıracak bir uygulama model önerisi sunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; 7’S Kuramının oluşumu, gelişimi, elementleri ve temel felsefesi hakkında önce kavramsal bilgi verilmekte, sonra da uygulama örnekleri ile performans değerlemede bir ölçü aracı olarak kullanılması hakkında bilgi sunulmaktadır

Employing Mckinsey’s 7’s Framework As A Means Of Strategic Planning And Economic Performance Assessment In Large Scale Enterprises

The 7S Framework was developed in1980s by McKinsey Consulting Firm in order to analyse the internal factors of large scale enterprises, provide an efficient organisational structure, forming an active management and communication structure, and finally assess the organisational performance after the activities of the enterprises. The formation and improvement processes of the 7S Framework took a long time. As for suggesting it as a model to increase the performances of enterprises, it was carried out consequent to literature review and surveys in the related field. The 7S Framework is built upon 7 functional elements. These are as follows: Structure, Strategy, Systems, Shared Values, Skills, Style and Staff. The 7S Framework offers an application model to increase the efficiency of the organisational structure of an enterprise, using the economic and cultural values in the internal structure of the enterprise as well. Subsequent to providing conceptual information regarding the formation, improvement, elements and basic philosophy of the 7S Framework, the study presents instances and data concerning the application of the 7S Framework for performance assessment.
