ROBERT GOBER'İN ÇALIŞMALARINDA BEDEN VE NESNE GERİLİMİ

Öz Gober'in çalışmaları, içinde büyüdüğü kültürün, fiziksel ve psikolojik baskılarının politik bir dille sanatsal dışa vurumudur. Çalışmalarında, bireyi, çocukluk dönemlerinde fiziksel ve psikolojik olarak sınırlayan çeşitli kurallar ve bu kuralların uygulandığı, somutlaştığı nesne ve mekanları ele almıştır. Bu objeleri ve insan vücudunun bazı organlarını işlevlerinden çıkararak, deforme ederek ve gereksiz tekrarlarla sunarak, ritüelleşen kuralların insan hayatındaki olumsuz etkisini ortaya koymaya çalışmıştır. Bu makalede, Gober'in çalışmaları sosyolojik ve psikolojik yönleriyle ele alınıp, onun öncülleri niteliğinde olan sanatçıların çalışmalarıyla, kendi çalışmalarına etkileri analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır. THE STRESS BETWEEN BODY AND OBJECT IN THE ARTWORKS OF ROBERT GOBER

Abstract The artworks of Gober are artistic expression of the psychological and physiological pressure of the culture which he grew up. In his artworks, he deals with the objects and spaces where rules took place by which the person is limited as psychologically and physiologically in the age of his/her childhood. The objects and human organs are dysfunctional, deformed and ritual, thus he tried to make analysis in his artworks, the negative affect of that rules getting rituals. In this article, Gober's artworks are dealt with aspects of their psychological and sociologic and the effect of artworks of the artist who are his precursors.
