SOSYO EKONOMİK DURUM VE SİGARA İÇME DAVRANIŞI ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ
Sigara kullanımı düşük gelirli sosyoekonomik gruplar arasında yüksek derecede yaygın ve dezavantajlı kullanıcılar da sigaranın zararlarına maruz kalabilmektedir.
İngiltere’de yapılan araştırmalara göre dezavantajlı gruplarda sigarayı bırakamama, bırakma ile ilgili sosyal desteklerin azaltılmış olması, bırakmaya motive olamama, yüksek
sigara bağımlılığı, bırakma ile ilgili desteklere devam etmeme, öz yeterlilik eksikliği gibi sonuçlardan kaynaklanabileceğini göstermiştir. Türkiye’de düşük sosyoekonomik durumdaki gruplar arasında sigara bağımlılığı nedenleri ve neler yapılabileceği bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Keşifsel yöntemlerle yapılacak olan çalışmada model ortaya
koyulması ve bir sonraki çalışmalara yön göstermesi planlanmaktadır.
