Bu çalışmada İzmir İli ve çevresindeki büyük alışveriş merkezlerinden temin edilen 82 beyaz peynir örneğinde Listeria monocytogenes aranmıştır.Bu amaçla soğuk ve sıcak koşullarda iki farklı zenginleştirme tekniği ve izolasyon için iki değişik besiyeri kullanılarak Listeria kolonileri elde edilmiştir. Fizyolojik ve biyokimyasal tanımlama testleri sonucunda 82 beyaz peynir örneğinin 11'inde (% 13.4) Listeria monocytogenes bulunmuştur. Çalışmada soğukta zenginleştirme tekniği ve Oxford ağar besiyerine ekim daha iyi sonuç vermiştir.

In this study, 82 white cheese samples were collected from markets in and around Izmir and thay were examined for the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. For this aim; two different enrichment techniques have been used for cold and warm conditions. Listeria colonies to be isolated were obtained on two different nutritive media. As a result of biochemical and physiological identification tests, 11 of 82 White cheese samples (% 13.4) were found to be Listeria monocytogenes positive. Better results were obtained by using cold enrichment and Oxford agar as nutritive medium.
