Okul Öncesi Çocuklarda Yaralanma Riski

Araştırma örneklemi 3-6 yaş grubu çocuğa sahip olan ve araştırmaya katılmayı k a b u l e d en 7 3 a n n ed en o l uş mu ş t ur. V er il er gö rü ş me tek n i ği yl e t op la n mı şt ır. Anneler, yaralanma konusunda riskli davranışlara ilişkin "Yaralanma Davranışı Risk Kontrol Listesini YRKL ve demografik veri formunu doldurmuşlardır. YRKL'nin dil geçerliği yapılmıştır. Kontrol listesinde, toplam puanın 48 ve üzeri olması "yüksek yaralanma davranışı riskini", 48 puanın altında olması "düşük yaralanma davranışı riskini" göstermektedir Bulgular: Araştırma örnekleminde Türkçe YRKL'nin iç geçerliliği yüksektir a=0 .87 . Araş tır ma da YRKL' ni n t opla m p uanı 6 il e 59 arası nda değişirk en, puan ortalaması 29.05'dir . YRKL'nin toplam puan ortalaması "düşük yaralanma davranışı riskini" göstermektedir. INJURY RISK FOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Objective: The aim of this research is to evaluate the injury risks for preschool children. Material Method: This field study, which is of descriptive type, was conducted between 20th April 15th May 2004 in three village clinics of İzmir. The sample consists of 73 mothers with children aged between 3 -6 and who agreed to participate. Data was collected by means of interviewing method. Mothers filled in the "Injury Behavior Checklist" IBC and demographic data form. The validity of the checklist has been made. the scores equal to or above 48 indicates "high risk of injury behavior" whereas scores below 48 indicates "low injury behavior". Results: The internal validity of the Turkish version of IBC was high in the research sample a=0.87 . While the total score of the IBC in the research varied between 6 and 59, the average score is 29.05 SD=1.65, possible score interval: 0 96 . The average total score of 1BC indicates "low risk of injury behavior". A difference based on sex was not determined among the average risk scores of children. t=1.57 P>0.05 . The average injury-risk behavior score of the 3-4 age group was found to be higher than the 5-6 age group. t=3.74 P
