Menstrüel döngü bağlantılı tekrarlayıcı psikotik bozukluk: Olgu sunumu

Menstrüel döngü ile ilişkili olarak ortaya çıkan mental durum değişiklikleri önemli sağlık problemlerine sebep olmaktadır. Bir bozukluk kategorisi kabul edilen “premenstrüel sendrom” ise bildirilen tüm vakaları karşılayamayacak durumdadır. Menstrüel döngü bağlantılı psikotik dönemler menstrüasyondan yaklaşık beş ila on gün önce başlayıp mensturasyonla birlikte ortadan kalkmaktadır. Bu olgu sunumunda, 17 yaşında olan ve periyodik olarak bir ay arayla menstrüasyondan birkaç gün önce başlayan ve menstrüasyonyonla birlikte sonlanan kısa psikotik ataklar tarifleyen bayan hasta literatürle karşılaştırmalı olarak ele alınmaktadır.

Menstruation-related recurrent psychotic disorder: A case report

Changes of mental status that are related to menstrual cycles causes significant mental problems. As an accepted disorder “premenstrual syndrome” do not cover all cases that are in literature. Menstruationrelated psychotic episodes usually start 5-10 days before menstruation and end with the menstruation. In this article, we present a case of a 17 years old young single woman, who periodically represents brief psychotic episodes per month that are start before menstruation and end with menstruation, with comparing our findings with literature.
