BİLGİ TOPLUMUNDA LİDERLİK: SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİR LİDERLİK

Bilgi çağı yapısı itibariyle karmaşıklığın ve kompleks problemlerin var olduğu bir dönemdir. Tüm bu karmaşık ve kompleks problemlerin bütüncül bir yaklaşımla ele alınıp çözülmesi gerekmektedir. Bu bağlamda, bütüncül yaklaşımı sergileyebilecek liderlere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu lider, sürdürülebilir lider olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Çalışmada yeni bir kavram olan sürdürülebilir liderlik konusuyla ilgili yerli ve yabancı literatürde yer alan kaynaklar incelenerek, kavramın sınırlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Amaca yönelik olarak literatür taraması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bilgi toplumunun yaşadığı sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik ve çevresel problemleri gören, anlayan ve bunlara ilişkin kaygılarıyla beraber çevresinde yer alan bireylere vizyon çizen ve onları organize eden liderlik olarak tanımlanan sürdürülebilir liderlik kavramı örgütsel açıdan ele alınarak hangi kişisel özelliklere sahip olduğu çalışmanın kapsamını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, sürdürülebilir liderliğin sadece günümüz toplumu için değil gelecekte evrilecek yeni toplumun varlığı ve devamlılığı içinde önemli olduğu ve bundan dolayı eğitim sürecinde de bireylere kazandırılması gereken bir liderlik stili olarak ilgili literatürde yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Bugünü oluşturan dinamikler dünün eseri ise, geleceği oluşturacak olan dinamikler de bugünden şekillenmektedir. Nitekim, sürdürülebilir lider bu dinamikleri şekillendirme de kritik öneme sahip yönlendirici bir kişidir.
