Women and their causes are almost the main axis that he bases women on and Arab-Lebanese women in particular. This paper aims at studying women’s personalities, main ones in Rachid Daief’s novels. It appears that he treats women as free and modern, away from traditional stereo typing personality, which puts two patterns of women personalities in the Arab world; the old generation and the modern one. The main character in Daief’s novel is a woman who enjoys modernity and is active and has a great role in the motion of the novel, via direct effect on her own fate and being non-submitting. A woman that is proud of herself, ergo, a woman who makes man proud of her. An emerging character that develops throughout the novel and gradually reveals other parts of her personality.
