INVESTIGATING THE PLACE OF WOMAN IN THE LITERATURE OF IRAN BEFORE THE ISLAMIC REVOLUTION WITH EMPHASIS ON CHOOBAK’S WORKS

Revolutions and social movements always have tremendous effects on the minds of different groups of people in society. Literature represents the history and the rise and fall of the society that is under the domination of governors. It is also the most honest document for studying people's attitudes towards life in different eras. So novel as a slice of people’s real life can lead researchers to think about this area. It is clear that woman who is a member of the society has a significant role in completing human societies and there are different attitudes towards her. Sadegh-e- Choobak, who had understood the events of Iran before and after the Islamic Revolution, had been an important and effective writer in Iran’s fiction. With his realistic novels, Choobak reveals the ugly and negative sides of Iran’s black periods before revolution and informs contemporary readers about this slice of history. Analyzing Choobak’s works, we try to show the clear image of the innocent woman living in 1320’s to 1350’s. These works also intend to show that women have not the desirable and expected place in the society
