An experimental research on teaching grammar through short story-based industruction
Bu çalışmanın amacı hikâye merkezli öğretim yönteminin yabancı dil sınıfları üzerine olan etkisini araştırmaktır. Özellikle bu tür bir uygulamayla çocukların doğrudan aktarma olmaksızın dilbilgisini öğrenip öğrenemeyeceği araştırılmıştır. Diğer bir önemli hedef ise yabancı dil öğretiminde hikâye kullanımının psikolojik ve motivasyon açısından özelliklerini tespit etmektir. Toplam 35 ortaokul öğrencisine uygulanan anket sonuçlarına göre hikâye merkezli dil öğretiminin pedagojik, psikolojik açıdan uygun ortamlar yarattığı ve dil öğretimi için önemli bir değer olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Hikaye merkezli öğretim yoluyla dilbilgisinin öğretilmesi üzerine deneysel bir çalışma
The purpose of this exploratory study was to investigate the effect of story-based instruction on EFL classroom. It sought out specifically to see whether this sort of instruction was effective for young learners to learn grammar without the teacher's explicit teaching. It was also equally important to identify psychological and motivational aspects of using short stories in an EFL classroom. The data utilized for this study were obtained through the use of questionnaire from a total of 35 secondary school students. The results indicated that the story-based instruction was a great asset to our EFL environment, providing psychologically and pedagogically favorable atmosphere for the young learners.
