Bazı Süs Biberi Genotiplerinin Tohumluk Bitki Özellikleri ve Tohum Çıkış Performansları

Çalışmada MKÜ, Ziraat Fakültesi, Bahçe Bitkileri Bölümü süs biberi koleksiyonunda bulunan 11 genotip karşılaştırılmıştır. Karşılaştırma süs biberi genotiplerinin bitki boyu, meyve sayısı adet/bitki , meyve olgunlaşması için geçen süre gün , meyve eni mm , meyve boyu mm , meyvede tohum sayısı adet/meyve , 1000 tane tohum ağırlığı g , çıkış oranı % ve ortalama çıkış süresi saat özellikleri üzerinden yapılmıştır. İncelenen tüm özellikler açısından genotipler arasında farklılıklar belirlenmiştir. Genotiplerin bitki boyu 14.3-77.3 cm, meyve sayısı 11-63 adet/bitki, meyve olgunlaşması için geçen süreleri 75-96 gün, meyve genişliği 7.3-42.0 mm, meyve uzunluğu 27.7-81.0 mm, meyvedeki tohum sayısı 7-57 adet/meyve, 1000 tane tohum ağırlığı 1.8-6.1 g, çıkış oranı %78-100 ve ortalama çıkış süresi 193-367 saat arasında değişmiştir. En yüksek bitki boyu MKÜ 86 nolu genotipten elde edilirken, en kısa bitkiler MKÜ 101 nolu genotipten elde edilmiştir. Süs biberi olarak özellikle kısa boylu bitkiler saksıda üretim için tercih edilebilir. Genotiplerin tamamı süs biberi olarak seçilmeleri nedeni ile genel olarak küçük meyvelere sahiptirler. En kısa meyveler MKÜ 101 nolu genotipten elde edilmiştir. En uzun meyveler ise yaklaşık 81 mm ile MKÜ 86 nolu genotipe aittir. MKÜ 19 nolu genotip meyvedeki tohum sayısı ve 1000 tane tohum ağırlığı açısından diğerlerinden daha yüksek değerlere sahip olmuştur. Çıkış oranları açısından ise MKÜ 105 nolu genotipte en düşük fide çıkış oranı belirlenmiştir

Plant Characteristics and Emergence Performance of Ornamental Pepper Genotypes

Eleven genotype, which are seedbank of Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture of MKU were compared in this work. Comparison of genotypes were investigated for plant height fruit number, day after fruit maturity, fruit diameter, fruit length, seed number in fruit, 1000 seed weight, emergence percentage and mean germination time. Differences were determined among genotypes for all investigated properties. They were changed 14.3-77.3 cm in plant height, 11-63 in fruit number, 75-96 days in fruit maturity, 7.3-42.0 mm in fruit width, 27.7-81.0 mm in fruit length, 7-57 in seed number, 1.8-6.1 g in 1000 seed weight, 78-100% in emergence percentage and 193-367 hours in mean germination time. While the plant height was highest in MKU 86, it was lowest in MKU 101. The lower height plants are preferred for potted ornamental pepper. All genotypes generally have small fruits because of they are selected as ornamental pepper. The shortest fruit was obtained from MKU 101. The longest fruit belongs MKU 86 with approximately 81 mm. MKU 19 is higher performance than the other genotypes about seed number of fruit and 1000 seed weight. The lowest seedling emergence percentage was determined from MKU 105
