Çin'in Tang Hanedanlığı 618 yılında kurulmuştur. Hanedanlığın kurulmasından sonra Çin'de yeni bir dönem başlamıştır. Bu dönem, Çin'in ekonomik, siyasi ve kültürel bakımlardan hızla geliştiği bir dönemdir. Bu gelişmelere ek olarak edebiyat ve sanat alanında da büyük gelişmeler yaşanmıştır. Edebiyat alanında şiir göze çarpmaktadır. Tang döneminde şiir, nitelik yönünden en yüksek seviyeye ulaşmıştır. Şiirlerde genel olarak övgüler, yergiler, sosyal durum, aşk vb. konular işlenmiştir. Dönemin öne çıkan şairlerinden biri olan Bai Juyi, şiirlerinde toplumsal olayları ve sosyal hayatı canlı bir şekilde anlatmaya çalışmıştır. Çalışmada Tang Hanedanlığı Döneminde en dikkat çeken şiir türü olan Beş İmli Şiir ve Yedi İmli Şiir'in özellikleri üzerinde durulacaktır. Tang Hanedanlığı döneminin sayı bakımından en fazla, nitelik bakımından farklı türlerde şiir yazan şairlerinden bir tanesi olan Bai Juyi'nin hayatı ve çalışmaları anlatılacaktır. Şairin Beş İmli Şiir ve Yedi İmli Şiir özelliklerini kullanarak yazdığı birer şiir Türkçe anlatımına en uygun şekilde aktarılmaya çalışılacaktır. Şiirler; anlatımları, cümle yapıları, o dönemde yaşanan olayları anlatmaları ve şairin üslubu hakkında bilgi vermeleri açısından önemlidir.

A new era started in China with the foundation of Tang Dynasty in 618 AD. Big developments has happened in the areas of literature and art during this era. Poetry is the most outstanding literary of this era and it has reached the utmost point in quality. Themes like heroism, the national situation, , the social situation, love, etc. were the subjects of poems. Bai Juyi is one of the most conspicuous poets in the period of Tang Dynasty. He wrote poems about the situation and Daily life of the society. In this article, we tried to research Five Character Poetry and Seven Character Poetry which is the most outstanding type of Tang Dynasty poetry. Bai Juyi, one of the poets of the Tang Dynasty, that in terms of quantity owned the highest number of works and in terms of quality wrote different types of poems, his life and works will be described. Two poems, which belongs to Bai Juyi, has been tried to be adapted to the Turkish narration in the most suitable way. His poems are important in many ways that the expressions, sentence structures, describing the events of the era and giving information about the poet's writing methods.
