Tekrarlayan Solunum Sıkıntısı Atakları ile Başvuran Bir Chilaiditi Sendromu

Chilaiditi Sendromu ilk kez 1910 yılında Demetrius Chilaiditi tarafından radyolojik olarak karaciğer ile diyaf- ragma arasına kolonun girmesiyle karakterize bir durum olarak tanımlanmıştır. Genelde hastalar asemptomatik olup bazı hastalarda gastrointestinal ve solunumsal belir- tilerle birlikte bulunabilir. Öyküsünde, yineleyen solunum sıkıntısı yakınmaları bulunan 5 yaşında kız hasta hastane- ye yatırıldı. Çekilen akciğer grafisinde dilate kalın barsa- ğın alttan basısı sonucu sağ diyafragmanın yükselmiş olduğu gözlendi. Sonuç olarak yineleyen solunum sıkıntısı tanımlayan çocukluk yaş grubundaki hastalarda bile Chilaiditi sendromunun akılda bulundurulması gerekir

A Case with Recurrent Respiratory Distress: Chilaiditi Syndrome

Chilaiditi syndrome was first described in 1910 by Demetrius Chilaiditi as a radiological evidence of colonic interposition between the liver and diaphragm. In general, patients are asymptomatic, but some have gastrointestinal and respiratory symptoms. A 5-years old female patient was admitted to the hospital with a history of recurrent respiratory distress. The chest x-ray revealed an elevation of the right hemidiaphragma caused by the presence of a dilated colonic loop below. This rare syndrome should be kept in mind even in pediatric patients with recurrent res- piratory distress
