Sistemik lupus eritematozus yüz felci nedeni olabilir mi?

Sistemik lupus eritematozus birçok sistemi tutabilen immunolojik bir hastalık olup, nöropsikiyatrik belirtileri arasında kişilik değişiklikleri, serebrovasküler olaylar, psikoz, paraparezi, hemiparezi, konvülziyonlar, periferik nörit, otonom bozukluklar ve kafa çiftlerinin tutulumları sayılmaktadır. Abdusens ve okulomotor sinir tutulumu daha sık görülmekle beraber yedinci sinir tutulumu ender bir durumdur. Bu makalede sistemik lupus eritematozus seyrinde yüz felci gelişmiş olan bir vaka sunulmaktadır.

Systemic lupus erythematosus: May it cause facial palsy?

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an immunologic disease which affect many systems and has neuropsychiatric symptoms such as personality changes, cerebrovascular accident, psychosis, paraparesis, hemiparesis, seizures, peripheral neuritis, autonomic disorders and cranial nerve disorders. Abducens and occulomotor nerve paralysis are frequent however seventh cranial nerve is rarely affected. In this article a SLE patient with development of facial palsy is presented.
