Çift aort arkı: Vaka sunumu

Çift aort arkı (Arcus Aorta) embriyonik involüsyon evresindeki kusur sonucu aort arkının çift olarak gelişmesidir. Pek çok hastada yaşamın ilk yıllarında hava yolu basısı semptomları ve/veya yutma güçlüğü, tekrarlayan solunum yolu infeksiyonları ve inatçı öksürüğe neden olabilir. Erken tanı ve cerrahi girişim, hava yolu basısını azaltarak vakaların semptomlarında belirgin düzelme sağlar. Boğmaca belirtileri ile yatırılan 4 aylık erkek vakanun sebat eden sesli solunum ve tekrarlayan akciğer infeksiyonlarının etiyolojisinde çift aort arkı anomalisi olduğu saptanmış ve çocuk hekimlerinin pratikte sık rastladığı semptomların ender de olsa karşılaşılan bir nedenini hatırlatmak amacıyla vakamız sunulmuştur

Case report: Double aortic arch

congenital defect during embyogenesis. Most of the cases have symptoms of airway compression, dysphagia, recurrent airway infections and persistent cough during the first years of life. Early diagnosis and surgery reduce the airway compression and improve the patient’s symptoms dramatically. Here we report a four months old boy hospitalized for whooping cough who had the history of persistent stridor and recurrent airway infections and whom we diagnosed as double aortic arch
