The impact of corporate Social responsibility perception on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment

Kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk uygulamaları örgütlerin en önemlipaydaş ları ndan biri olan çal ı ş anları da etkilemektedir. Buamaçla çal ı şanları n cinsiyeti, yaşı , e ğ itim düzeyi, kurum içi pozisyonu, i şletmede çal ı ş ma süresi vesosyal sorumluluk projelerine katı l ı mı olmak üzere toplam altı bireysel faktörün etkisiincelenmektedir. Bu çal ı ş ma TÜPRA Ş çal ı şanları ile yap ı lan anketlere dayanmaktadı r. Elde edilenveriler ki-kare, t-test ve anova testlerine tabi tutulmuş tur. Bulgulara göre çal ı şanları n kurumsalsosyal sorumluluk algı lamaları ile onları n örgütsel bağl ı l ı kları ve i ş tatminleri arası nda anlaml ı birili ş ki bulunamamı ş tı r.

Kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk algısının iş tatmini ve örgütsel bağlılık üzerindeki etkisi

Corporate social responsibility activities influence the stakeholders in the first place, hence theemployees, one of the vital stakeholders of the organizations. Social responsibility activities canhave a direct effect on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of employees. Thispaper investigates the employees perception on corporate social responsibility, and examines theeffect of this perception on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Hence, the individualfactors that have an impact on this perception, namely gender, age, education level, thehierarchical position in the organization, the working time and the participation to the company ssocial responsibility projects, are considered. The data collection is through a survey conductedamong the employees of Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation (TUPRAS), the third mostprofitable and the largest private firm quoted to the Borsa Istanbul. From the findings obtainedthrough chi square, t-test and ANOVA, one can observe an insignificant relation betweenorganizational commitment and job satisfaction, and perceptions of corporate socialresponsibilities.
