TRANSPLANT KOORDİNASYON

Günümüzde solid organ transplantasyonu terminal dönem organ yetmezliği olan birçok hasta için umut kay-nağı olmuştur. Ne yazık ki organ nakline uygun hasta sayısındaki artışa karşın, donör sayısının sabit kalmasıönemli bir problem oluşturmaktadır. Bu problemin çözülmesi için organ bağışının profesyonelce organizeedilmesi ve standart hale getirilmesi gerekmektedir. Dolayısı ile bu alanda çalışan personelin konusundauzmanlaşmış olması bir zorunluluk haline gelmiştir. İspanya modelinde olduğu gibi bu görevi konuyla ilgilibranşlardaki tıp doktorları ya da Amerika modelindeki gibi iyi eğitilmiş tıp dışı sağlık çalışanları başarı ileyürütmektedir. İspanyol ve İngiliz sistemlerinin ülkemiz koşullarına adaptasyonu ile oluşturulmuş Türkiye mo-delinin sonuçlarını ise önümüzdeki yıllarda net bir biçimde göreceğiz.

Transplant Coordination

Presently, solid organ transplantation has become the treatment of choice for patients with end-stage disease and survival rates have improved. However the growing shortage of available organ donors remains the majör problem in solid organ transplantation. It is obvious that the donation process needs organization and standardization. To meet this organizational demand, transplant coordinating offıces and specially educated professionals are required. In many developed countries transplant coordination has become a highly specialized profession. Long term success of the relatively new Turkish model of transplant coordination will be seen in near future.
