The Comparison of the Universe View Amongst Turks with the Mesopotamia Mythological Narrations

The Turk societies have developed a universe view depending on the geographical location and the belief they have. This universe understanding dates back to the view that the sky and the earth were initially joined and subsequently they separated from each other. Turks used to believe that the sky that was believed to be in the shape of dome like tents that they live shelters everything. Even if Turk communities hadn’t made the universe understanding that they developed a cosmic philosophical system, they made explanations about the creation of the human being and the universe in the first Turk inscriptions such as Ongin and Orhun. Mesopotamia, which is a region where mythological narrations were first inscribed, hosted the oldest form of the universe view of the human being. While Mesopotamia mythological narrations were bare and uniform in the first periods, the mythos belonging to Assyrian and Babylon period became coherent in themselves, literarily rich and developed universe view. In this study, Turkish communities with their first inscriptions using mythological Mesopotamian narrations, universe definitions owned by two different societies will be compared.
