1176 yılında Bizans ve Türkiye Selçukluları arasında gerçekleşen Myriokephalon (Miryokefalon) Savaşı, Anadolu’nun kaderini belirleyen önemli olayların başında gelmektedir. Söz konusu savaş ile ilgili bugüne kadar pek çok yerli ve yabancı bilim insanı ve araştırmacı çeşitli yazılar kaleme almıştır. Savaşın gerçekleştiği yerin tam olarak belli olmaması nedeniyle yapılan çalışmaların birçoğunun savaşın vuku bulduğu coğrafyanın tespitine yoğunlaştığı görülmektedir. Myriokephalon Savaşı hakkında pek çok şey yazılıp çizilmiş olmasına rağmen, bu çalışmaların tespit edilerek derlenip toplanmasını konu alan bir bibliyografya çalışması yapılmamıştır. Bu durumdan hareketle, bu çalışmada ana ve muâsır kaynaklar, telif eserler, makaleler, bildiriler, ansiklopedi maddeleri, tezler vb. türde çeşitli dillerde yazılmış çalışmalar incelemeye tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda doğrudan Myriokephalon Savaşı veya konu ile bağlantılı olarak sayısı iki yüzü geçen çeşitli çalışmanın yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir.

The Battle of Myriokephalon which took place in 1176 between the Byzantine and Turkish Seljuks, is one of the most important events that determined the fate of Anatolia. Many local and foreign scientists and researchers have written various articles about the war in question. Since the place where the war took place is not clear, it is seen that most of the studies focused on the determination of the geography where the war took place.Although many articles have been written about the Battle of Myriokephalon, a bibliographic study has not been conducted to identify and collect these studies. Therefore, in our study, main and contemporary sources, books, articles, papers, encyclopedia articles, theses, etc. Studies written in various languages were examined. As a result of our research, it has been determined that there are more than two hundred studies related to the Battle of Myriokephalon, directly or in connection with the subject.
