Implementation of Axiomatic Design and Lean Process Principles in Banks’ Central Operations

Operation centres are established to influence the costs and profitability of corporations positively, by exploiting the best of their compotence and capacity in telecommunications, transportation-logistics, information technologies, operational infrastructure, and human resources. Like other corporations, Banks aim to increase customer satisfaction by decreasing the end-to-endservice durations and costs by locating their expertise and mass operations in operation centres or units. By taking into account the principles of axiomatic design and lean; it is believed that this study will contribute to the Banking operations practitioners by presenting a methodological framework, implemention suggestions and examples to realise an effective operational design and performance improvement
