Cardan joints are one of the most critical component of universal joints. So at design stage cardan joints must be examined in detail. In this study an Industrial type cardan joint was modeled at a Computer Aided Design software PTC Creo Parametric. Then Static structural analysis performed. After static structural analysis a fatigue analysis performed for prediction of fatigue life of the cardan joint.
