Kahramanmaraş Merkez ve bazı ilçelerinde Buprestidae familyasına ait türleri tespit etmek amacıyla 1996-1997yıllarmda yapılan bu çalışmada 16 böcek türü tespit edilmiştir. Bu türler; Ptosima flavoguttata (Illiger. 1803), Buprestis cupressl Germar. 1817, B. haemorrholdalls araratica Marseul, 1865. B. tarsensls Marseul, 1865, Melanophlla (Trachypterls)plcta decastlgma (Fabricius, 1787), Chalcophora detrita (Klug. 1829), C. mariana (Linnaeus. 1758), Chalcophorella fabricii (Rossi, 1794), C. stigmatica (Schoenherr, 1817), Capnodis carbonarla (Klug, 1829), C. millaris (Klug, 1829), C. porosa (Klug, 1829). C. tenebricosa (Olivier, 1790), C. tenebrtonis (Linnaeus, 1758), Agrilus roscidus Kiesenwetter. 1857 ve A.viridis (Linnaeus, 1758)'dir. Bunların konukçularını, orman ve meyve ağaçları oluşturmaktadır. Bu türlerden, C. millaris (Klug) türü ile M. picta decastigma (f.) alttürü, Populusnlgra Arnold üzerinde önemli zararlara yol açmaktadır.

The study was conducted to determine insect species belonging to the family Buprestidae in the center and some towns of Kahramanmaraş province in the years of 1996 and 1997, and found 16 species. These are: Ptosima flavoguttata (Illiger, 1803), Buprestis cupressi Germar, 1817, B. haemorrhioldalis araratica Marseul, 1865, B. tarsensis Marseul. 1865, Melanophlla (Trachypteris) picta decastigma (Fabricius. 1787), Chalcophora detrita (Klug, 1829), C. mariana (Linnaeus, 1758). Chalcophorella fabricii (Rossi. 1794). C. stigmatica (Schoenherr, 1817), Capnodis carbonaria (Klug. 1829), C. millaris (Klug, 1829), C. porosa (Klug, 1829), C. tenebricosa (Olivier, 1790), C. tenebrtonis (Linnaeus, 1758), Agrilus roscidus Kiesenwetter. 1857 and A viridts (Linnaeus, 1758). Host plants of these species are forest trees and fruit trees. C. millarls (Klug) and M. picta decastigma (F.) are important pests on Populus nigra Arnold.
