Macroanatomy of Pancreas and Investigation of the Innervation of Pancreas with Immune Staining Method in Rat
: Macroanatomy and i nnervation of rat pancreas by using immune staining method was investigated in this study.Nerves of rat pancreas were stained by the basis of neurofilament protein immunoreaction (NFP). Pancreas was found tobe located under the stomach, duodenum and spleen. It was named as gastric lobe, duodenal lobe and splenic lobeaccording to the location. It was detected that the ducts extending from these lobes opened into ductus biliaris, howeversome ducts also opened directly to into duodenum. Gastric lobe was located under the stomach while duodenal lobeplaced between the folds of duodenum. Vascularization of these mentioned lobes was not supplied by the ramus hepaticus originated from the arteria hepatica. It was determined that the innervation of gastric and splenic lobes were providedfrom the nerves originated from the plexus celiacus, however the innervation of duodenal lobe was provided by the nervesoriginated from the plexus mesentericus cranialis
