Öz Özet: Bölgesel dengesizlik sorunu sanayi devriminden günümüzde herzaman var olagelmiş bir olgudur Diğer faktörlerin yanı .sıra dengesizliğingelişiminde uygulanan ekonomi politikaları da oldukça önemli roloynamaktadır. Bu açıdan 1980 sonrasında Türkiye'nin dışa açık ekonomipolitikalar izlemesiyle birlikte Ege Bölgesi ve Denizli ili gelişme sürecigeçirirken, Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi ve Erzurum ili gerileme süreciyaşamaktadır. Çalışmada, bölgesel dengesizliğin belirleyicilerikarşılaştırmalı olarak verilmiş ve bu süreçte etkin olan faktörler ele alınmayaçalışılmıştır. Abstract: Regional disparity problem is a long-lasting dvent fromindustrial revolution to the present day in almost every country. However,economic policies carried out as well as other factors have played animportant role in regional disparity process. As a result of the open-eeonomypolicies followed in Turkey since 1 980, the Aegean Region and the provinceof Denizli, a part of the region, have been experiencing a rapid developmentprocess while the East Anatolia Region and the province of Erzurum, one ofthe most important cities of the region, have been experiencing a worseningprocess. In this study, the determinants of regional disparity process wereexamined comparatively.
