İŞKOLİKLİK, İŞ-AİLE ÇATIŞMASI VE TÜKENMİŞLİK ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA
Son yıllarda literatürde üzerinde oldukça fazla araştırma yapılan işkolikliküzerine ülkemizde az sayıda ampirik çalışma yapılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile işkolikliğinaile ve birey üzerine etkileri ortaya çıkarılmak istenmektedir. Bu doğrultudaişkoliklik, iş-aile çatışması ve tükenmişlik arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesiamaçlanmıştır.Araştırmaya 451 avukat katkı sağlamışlardır. Çalışmada, işkoliklik veişkolikliğin alt boyutları olan işe güdülenme, işten zevk alma ve işe katılımın iş-aile/aile-iş çatışması ve tükenmişlikle anlamlı ilişki içerisinde olacağı yönündehipotezler geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre işkoliklik ve işe güdülenme ileiş-aile/ aile-iş çatışması arasında pozitif yönlü, işten zevk alma ile ise negatif yönlübir etki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte işe katılım ile belirtilen değişkenlerarasında anlamlı ilişki bulunmamıştır. Ayrıca işkoliklik ile tükenmişlik arasındadoğru yönlü bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma ile elde edilen bulgularınteorik ve uygulama açısından tartışması yapılmış, katkıları ve sınırlılıklarınadeğinilmiştir.
A STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WORKAHOLISM, WORK-FAMİLY CONFLİCT AND BURNOUT
The concept of workaholism has been the topic of popular literature in the last three decades. Yet, few studies have empirically tested it in Turkey. The present study is designed to explore the effects of workaholism on family and workaholics individuals. In this direction It was aimed to examine the relationships among workaholism, work/family-family/work conflict and burnout. Four hundred fifty one lawyers contributed to the study. It was hypothesized that workaholism and workaholism facets of driveness, work involvement and work enjoyment would correlate with work-family conflict and burnout. The results revealed that workaholism and driveness dimension of workaholism were positively related to work-family conflict and family to work conflict. But work enjoyment was negatively related to to work-family conflict and family to work conflict and work involvement had no relations above the variables. There was a significant relations between workaholism and burnout. Theoretical and practical implications of the findings are discussed, along with contributions and limitations of the study.
