DUYULARIN MEKÂNSAL DENEYİMLERİ ŞEKİLLENDİRMESİ: SAGRADA FAMİLİA KİLİSESİ

Kişi, mimari mekânı sadece bir resim olarak algılamaz, aynı zamanda duyularıyla da deneyimleyerek içselleştirir. Bu çalışmada, bireylerin mekânları algılamak için görme dışındaki duyularını (işitme, koklama, tatma ve dokunma), kullanmalarında cinsiyet, yaş, uyruk ve meslek faktörleri arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Araştırma Sagrada Familia Kilisesi'nde yürütülen bir alan çalışması aracılığıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Alan çalışmasında, ziyaretçiler arasından rastlantısal olarak seçilen, 31 kişiye anket uygulanmış ve anket sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesinde SPSS v24 istatistiksel analiz programı kullanılmıştır. Analizlerde parametrik olmayan verilerin tek yönlü varyans analizinde kullanılan Kruskal-Wallis testinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada ele alınan her duyunun mekânı algılama üzerindeki etkisi ziyaretçilerin yaş, cinsiyet, uyruk ve meslekleri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre yaş ile işitme; meslek ile koklama, tatma ve dokunma duyuları arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu, özellikle mesleklerin mekân algısı üzerinde oldukça etkileyici bir faktör olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyet ve uyruk ile işitme, koklama, tatma ve dokunma duyuları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır.

SHAPING OF SPATIAL EXPERIENCES THROUGH SENSES: SAGRADA FAMILIA CHURCH

Individuals do not only perceive an architectural space through images but at the same time use their other senses to experience and internalize it. This study investigates the relationship between the individuals' use of their senses other than "sight" (Hearing, smell , taste and touch) at perceiving architectural spaces and their "gender", "age" "nationality" and "occupation". The study was conducted through a field investigation at the Sagrada Familia Church. In the scope of the study, a survey was conducted on 31 people randomly selected among the visitors and the statistical analysis software SPSS v24 was used to evaluate the survey results. Kruskal-Wallis test for one way analysis of variance of non-parametric data was used in the evaluation of the relationship between the use of senses and the factors of gender, age, nationality and occupation. Results indicate that there is a significant relationship between "age" and "hearing" and "occupation" and "smell", "taste" and "touch". The occupations of the visitors was found to be a particularly influential factor at the perception of architectural space. Gender and nationality did not have a profound relationship with "hearing" , "touch" and "smell".
