Yazar, Türkiye'de Arapçanın soğuk karşılandığı bir dönemde bu dile olan ilgiyi arttırmak ve onun güzelliğini göz önüne sermek için bu eseri kaleme almıştır; bunu yaparken dil teorilerine, dilin kaynağının ne olduğu meselesi gibi dil bilim ile ilgili konulara temas etmeden geçmemiştir. Kitaba dilin tanımı ile giriş yapmakta ve bu konuda ileri sürülmüş görüşlere yer vermektedir. Kitap, bir giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde dilin tarifi ve ihtiva ettiği konular hakkında gerek İslam alimleri ve gerekse diğer dil bilimi alanında çalışma yapmış bilim insanlarının görüşlerine yer vermektedir. Birinci bölüm, dillerin doğuşu ile ilgili olarak ortaya atılan görüşlerini, ikinci bölüm dil gruplarını ele almaktadır; üçüncü bölüm ise Arapçayı ve Arapları kültürel, iktisadi ve diğer çeşitli yönlerden incelemektedir. Yazar, bunu yaparken Hz. Nuh'un (as) oğulları Ham ve Sam'a da atıf yapmayı ihmal etmemektedir. Kitap 1969'da basılmış olup 379 sayfadan oluşmaktadır.

In the introduction, the views of both Islamic scholars and scientists who have worked in the field of linguistics about the definition of language and the subjects it contains are included. The first part deals with the views on the emergence of languages, the second part deals with language groups; The third part examines Arabic and Arabs from cultural, economic and various other aspects.
