Karaciğer metastazı ile prezente olan paraganglioma olgusunda sitolojik özellikler (Metastatik paraganglioma sitolojisi)

Retroperitoneal paragangliomalar nadir görülen nöroen-dokrin tümörlerdir. Bu tümörler sessiz bir klinik seyir göstermekle birlikte, ilk tanıdan sonraki 7-33 yıl içinde metastazlar ortaya çıkabilir. Metastazla prezentasyon ise çok nadir görülen bir durumdur. Paragangliomaların tanısında ince iğne aspirasyonu (IIA) değerli bir yöntem olmakla birlikte bu, tümörün oldukça nadir görülmesi nedeni ile güç olabilir. Burada karaciğerde kitle ile prezente olan nadir bir paraganglioma olgusuna ait sitolojik ve histopatolojik özellikler sunulmaktadır.

Retroperitoneal paragangliomas are uncommon neuroendocrine tumors. Although they have indolent clinical course, metastases may develop 7-33 years after the initial diagnosis. But presentation with a metastases is a very ra-re condition. Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNA) is valuable in the diagnosis of these tumors, but it may be difficult due to the infrequent occurence of this neoplasm. Here we repon the cytologic and histopathologic features of a rare retroperitoneal paraganglioma case which is presented with a liver mass.
