Diabet yaşı ile intrarenal hemodinamik parametreler ve ana karotis, femoral arter intima kalınlığı arasındaki ilişkiler

Amaç: Çalışmamızda tip-2 diabeti olan hastalarda diabetin süresi ile, böbreklerde oluşan hemodinamik değişikliklerin ve ana carotis (CCA), femoral arter (FA) intima-media kalınlığının (IMT) ilişkisi araştırıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Kontrol grubu olarak 20 sağlıklı kişi alındı. Çalışma grubuna ise çeşitli sürelerle tip-2 diabet tanısı olan 69 hasta alındı. Toplam 89 hastanın ana karotis ve femoral arterleri yüksek rezolüsyonlu B-mod Ultrasonografi (US) ile değerlendirilerek her hasta için ortalama IMT değerlerine ulaşıldı. Renal Doppler US ile ise, böbreklerin interlober arterlerindeki intrarenal rezistivite indeks'leri (RI) ve pulsatility indeks'leri (PI) hesaplandı. Diabetik hastalar diabet yaşına göre 3 gruba ayrılarak (Grup-1: Diabet yaşı 20 yıl olan hastalar) her grup için ortalama CCA-IMT, FA-IMT, RI ve PI değerleri bulundu. SPSS programı kullanılarak, bu değerler için gruplar arası karşılaştırma yapıldı ve korelasyon analiziyle bu parametreleri etkileyen klinik ve biyokimyasal değişkenler belirlendi. Bulgular: Grup-1, 2 ve 3'teki hastaların IMT, RI ve PI değerleri kontrol grubundaki hastaların değerlerinden istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede yüksek idi. Correlation of diabetic age with intrarenal hemodynamic changes and common karotid, femoral artery intima media thickness

Aim: In our study, we investigated the correlation between diabetic age and hemodynamic changes in kidneys; common carotid artery ( CCA) and femoral artery (FA) intima-media thickness (IMT) in type-2 diabetics. Material and Methods: As control group, 20 healthy person were selected. As study group, 69 patients with the diagnosis of type-2 diabetes were included. Of these 89 cases, common carotid and femoral arteries were evaluated by B-mode high resolution ultrasonography (US) and mean IMT values were reached for each case. With renal doppler US, resistivity (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) values of interlobar arteries of each kidney, were determined. Diabetic patients were divided into 3 group (Group-1: patients with diabetic age less than 10 years; Group-2: patients with diabetic age between 10 and 20 years; Group-3: patients with diabetic age greater than 20 years), and mean CCA-IMT, FA-IMT, RI and PI values were calculated.
