Diş Teknisyenlerinde El Ekzeması Sıklığı

Amaç: Diş teknisyenlerinde el ekzeması sıklığını belirlemek ve bunu etkileyen faktörleri gözden geçirmek.Materyal ve Metod: Eylül 2009 Aralık 2011 tarihleri arasında Ankara Meslek Hastalıkları Hastanesine başvurmuş vedermatoloji bölümüne konsülte edilmiş 86 diş teknisyeni el ekzeması yönünden incelenmiştir. Ellerinde ekzema tespitedilen hastalara deri yama testi uygulanmıştır. El ekzeması ile çalışma süresi, yaş, koruyucu eldiven kullammı vegeçirilmiş ekzeması öyküsü arasındaki ilişki istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Deri muayene bulgularına göre beş diş teknisyeninde (%5,8) ellerde ekzema saptanmıştır. İstatistiksel olarak elekzeması gelişimi ile hasta yaşı, çalışma süresi ve koruyucu eldiven kullammı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki ortayakonulamamışken, geçirilmiş ekzema öyküsü ile el ekzeması gelişimi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişkibulunmuştur.Sonuç: Diş teknisyenlerindeki el ekzeması sıklığı literatürdeki diğer çalışmalarla benzer olarak bulunmuştur. Öncesindeekzema öyküsü bulunan diş teknisyenlerinin, korunma yöntemlerine daha dikkatle uymaları gerektiği düşünülmektedir.

The Frequency Of Contact Eczema In Dental Technicians

Objective: To determine the prevalence of hand eczema in dental technicians and to review the factors that affect it.Materials and Methods: In Ankara Occupational Diseases Hospital between September 2009 December 2011, 86 dentaltechnician have been applied for and consulted the derrnatology department in terms of hand eczema. The skin patch testwas applied to the patients with hand eczema. The relationship between hand eczema and number of years working, age,use of protective gloves and history of contact dermatitis was evaluated.Results: According to the findings of skin examination, five technicians (5.8%) had hand eczema. Statistically, there wasno significant relationship between irritant contact dermatitis and the patient's age, number of years working, the use ofprotective gloves. There was significant relationship between irritant contact dermatitis and history of contact dermatitis.Conclusion: The frequency of hand eczema in this study was found to be similar to other studies in the literature. Inparticular, the employees have history of contact dermatitis should pay more attention to methods of prevention.
