Periferik girişli santral venöz kateter malpozisyonu (Olgu sunumu)

Periferik girişli santral venöz kateterler, uygulanmasının daha az invaziv olması nedeniyle tünelli ve tünelsiz santral kateterlere iyi bir alternatif sunmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, periferik girişli santral kateter uygulamalarında diğerlerine göre daha sıklıkla kateter malpozisyonuna rastlanmaktadır. Periferik girişli santral venöz kateterin sol brakiyosefalik ven civarında kendi üzerinde kıvrılarak sol internal jügüler vende yerleşim gösterdiği bir olguyu sunmaktayız. Bu olgu aracılığıyla, santral ve periferik girişli santral venöz kateter malpozisyonlarının radyololojik kontrolünün gerekliliğini tartışmayı amaçlıyoruz.

Malposition of peripherally inserted central venous catheter: (Case report)

Due to being less invasive, peripherally inserted central venous catheters became a reasonable alternative to tunnelled and non-tunnelled central venous catheters. But malposition is a more frequently encountered problem with these peripherally inserted catheters. We present a case of peripherally inserted central venous catheter, looped near left brachiocephalic vein and misplaced in left internal jugular vein. The aim of this paper is to discuss the necessity of radiological control for malpositioning of central venous catheters, for both routes of insertion.
