HASTANEMİZDE 2013 YILI İÇİNDE BEYAZ KOD-SAĞLIK ÇALIŞANLARINA ŞİDDET OLAYLARININ RETROSPEKTİF DEĞERLENDİRMESİ
Amaç: Sağlık çalışanları toplumla çok yakın iletişim içinde olduklarından şiddete uğrama sıklıklıkları diğer sektör çalışanlarınagöre daha fazladır. Bu durum sağlık çalışanlarının şiddetle ilgili kaygılarını arttırmakta ve verimlilik düşmektedir. Yöntem: Çalışmada Ocak 2013 ve Ocak 2014 tarihleri arasında Keçiören Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde verilen BeyazKod (1111-Personele şiddet hattı) ihbarlarına ait veriler retrospektif olarak toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Toplam 42 beyaz kod vakası olmuştur. En fazla şiddet olayının yaşandığı klinikler pediatri servisleri ve yetişkin acilservisleridir (%14.3). Genel olarak ise pediatrik acil servisin dahil edilmesiyle en fazla ihbarın acil servislerde yapıldığıgörülmektedir (%21.4). İhbarlar sıklıkla (%54.8) gündüz çalışma saatleri içinde yapılmıştır. Olayların tespit edilen en sık nedenininsıra bekleme listesine itiraz olduğu görülmüştür. Şiddet vakalarının %59.5'i sözlü tartışma, %35.7'si hakaret, %4.8'inin ise darpya da darp girişimi olduğu saptanmıştır. Sağlık personelinin olaylar karşısında resmi şikayet oranı %14.3'dür.Sonuç: Sağlık personeline yönelik şiddet girişimleri önemli bir sorun olup yasal ve eğitsel önlemlerin alınmasıyla azaltılmalıdır
A RETROSPECTIVE EVALUATION OF WHITE CODE - ASSAULT AGAINST MEDICAL STAFF CASES IN 2013 IN OUR CENTER
Objective: Medical staff are under increased risk of physical and/or verbal assaults due to close contact with public. Thisincreases anxiety level and decreases productivity. In this article we aimed to summarize the physical or verbal assault cases inour center in 2013-2014 period.Method: White code (Assault against medical staff) data in Kecioren Training and Research Hospital between January 2013and January 2014 was collected and analyzed retrospectively.Results: A total of 42 cases was reported. Most common clinics were pediatric inpatient and adult emergency clinics (14.3%).Including the pediatric emergency the most common clinic was emergency clinic (21.4%). Majority of cases occured during daytime (54.8%). Most common cause was having to wait in long queue. 59.5% of cases were verbal quarrel while 35.7% were insultingand 4.8% were physical assaults. Medical staff has been complainant officially only in 14% of cases.Conclusion: Assaults against medical staff is a common and important problem that could be prevented by increased educationand legal precautions
