Adli tıp öğrenimi Türkiye’de 1893 yılında Osmanlı dönemiyle başlamış olup bu gün hala çeşitli üniversitelerde devam etmektedir. Adli tıbbın bir bilirkişilik müessesesi olarak çalışması ise cumhuriyet döneminde tam anlamıyla ifade edilebilir hale gelmiştir. Günümüz adli tıp eğitiminde öğrencilere adli vakaları değerlendirmeleri için ihtiyaç duyabilecekleri bilgiler aktarılmaktadır. Yine de bu eğitimin hukukçuya bir tıp nosyonu kazandırması beklenemeyecektir. Adli tıp disiplininin verimli çalışabilmesi içinse hukuk sistemiyle adli tıp arasında belirli bir uyumluluk kurmak gerekmektedir. Böyle bir uyumun varlığından söz etmek tam olarak mümkün olmasa da disiplinin hukuk faaliyetindeki yeri hala devam etmektedir ve edecektir.

Forensic medicine lectures have started at 1893, during the Ottoman Era and still been given in several universities. The use of forensic medicine a a judicial expertise establishmet however have started after the founding of Republic of Turkey. İn todays forensis medicine education, students receives the necesarry knowledge which they might need during the process of analysing the forensic situations. However we can’t expect from this education to provide enough medical notion for a law student. To use forensic medicine efficiently, a certain compability between law system and forensic medicine is necessary. Altough its not possible to mention this kind of compability, forensic medicine discipline is a part of the legal system and it is gong to be.
