Derin Boyun Enfeksiyonunda Nadir Bir Bakteri: Streptococcus anginosus
A Rare Bacterium in Deep Neck Infection: Streptococcus anginosus
Deep neck infection (DNI) is a condition that usually resolves with medical treatment, but may also require surgical treatment. If not treated properly, it may progress with serious complications. Streptococcus anginosus is an important pathogen causing abscesses, but its role in deep neck abscesses has not been adequately investigated. In this report, we present a patient who was diagnosed with S. anginosus-caused DNI in our clinic and discharged after full recovery with appropriate treatment.
