Öğretmen Adaylarının Siber Zorbalığa İlişkin Duyarlılıklarının Cinsiyet Rolleri ve Bazı Değişkenlere Göre İncelenmesi
Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının siber zorbalığa ilişkin duyarlık düzeylerini belirlemek ve siberzorbalığa ilişkin duyarlık düzeylerinin cinsiyet rolü, öğrenim görülen bölüm, internet kullanım amacı gibideğişkenlere göre incelemektir. Ayrıca araştırmada; siber zorbalığa ilişkin duyarlık düzeyinin cinsiyete, siberzorbalığa maruz kalma durumuna ve internete bağlanma yoluna göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı daaraştırılmıştır. Katılımcılar, Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Fatih Eğitim Fakültesi’nin farklı bölümlerine devameden 349 kız ve 187 erkek toplam 536 lisans öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, SiberZorbalığa İlişkin Duyarlık Ölçeği, BEM Cinsiyet Rolü Değerlendirme Envanteri ve Kişisel Bilgi Formukullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde tek yönlü varyans analizi, bağımsız gruplar t-testi tekniklerindenyararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, öğretmen adaylarının siber zorbalığa ilişkin duyarlık düzeylerinin yüksekolduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca, kadınsı ve androjen cinsiyet rolü tutumuna sahip olanların belirsiz ve erkeksicinsiyet rolüne sahip olanlara göre, fen bilgisi ve sosyal bilgiler öğretmenliğinde öğrenim görenlerin rehberlik vepsikolojik danışmanlık bölümü öğrencilerine göre, interneti iletişim ve eğitim amaçlı kullananların eğlenceamaçlı kullananlara göre, kız öğrencilerin erkek öğrencilere göre siber zorbalığa ilişkin duyarlıklarının dahayüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir
Investigation of Sensitivity to Cyber Bullying of Teacher Candidates According to Sex Roles and Other Variables
The aim of the research is to determine the sensitivity levels of teacher candidates relating to cyber bullying and investigate sensitivity levels to cyber bullying according to variables such as gender role, department attended and aim of internet use. Additionally the research researched whether sensitivity levels relating to cyber bullying varied depending on gender, exposure to cyber bullying and internet connection route. Participants included a total of 536 undergraduate students, 349 female and 187 male, attending different departments in Karadeniz Technical University, Fatih Faculty of Education. Data collection tools used included the Cyberbullying Sensitivity Scale, Bem’s Sex-Role Inventory and a Personal Information Form. One-way analysis of variance and the independent groups t-test were used for data analysis. The research findings showed that teacher candidates had high levels of sensitivity to cyber bullying. Additionally, in this study it was determined that those with feminine and androgynous sex role attitudes had higher sensitivity to cyber bullying compared to those with undifferentiated and masculine sex roles; science and social studies teaching candidates had higher sensitivity compared to guidance and psychological counseling department students; those using the internet for communication and education had higher sensitivity compared to those using the internet for entertainment; and female students had higher sensitivity compared to male students.
